Natural Caves<\/strong>: Mallorca hides a treasure underground. In Mallorca there are more than 200 caves and lakes of fresh and salt water. Formed over two million years ago due to various geological processes, it is said that the caves served as a refuge for the Arabs during the Christian conquest and later as a hideout for pirates and smugglers.
\nStalactites, stalagmites, underground passageways, lakes of fresh and salt water… the island hides an archaeological paradise under its surface.
\nOne of the most spectacular caves to visit is Cueva des Colom<\/strong>, located near Cala Romantica on the east coast. They are not commercial caves, but rather a unique experience to enjoy an underground paradise.
