A day at the beach
A day at the beach is a perfect, sure-fire plan that everyone in the family will enjoy. While the adults bask in the sunshine, the littles ones will have a great time building sandcastles and paddling on the shore.
Each of our family destinations boasts amazing beaches for a superb day out. On Mallorca we particularly recommend the beaches of Sa Coma and Es Trenc; on the Costa del Sol, Santa Ana beach in Benalmedana, whilst on Lanzarote, beachgoers should head for Playa Dorada.

Hiking route
As an alternative to spending the day in sunshine, a hiking route in the mountains is a fun-filled option and the chance for all the family to discover the local flora and fauna. What’s more, if you have a creative streak, you can also prepare a short obstacle race to keep the kids entertained along the way.
On Mallorca, the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range offers many adapted and signposted routes affording spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea. The same is true on the Costa del Sol – the coastal path runs along just under 80 per cent of the Malaga coastline and is becoming increasingly popular with families who choose to walk along a stretch of the route. Theme parks
A firm favourite with the most mischievous members of the family. Enjoy an experience with a difference and have a great time with the kids at a theme park. There are lots to choose from! If you’re a family that loves action, an adventure park is your best choice; on the other hand, if your children are water babies, then an aquapark with water slides is a must. Our favourites are the Costa Teguise Aquapark on Lanzarote, Western Park on Mallorca and Aquamijas on the Costa del Sol.

A visit to local fairs
Don’t miss the chance to experience the authenticity of your holiday destination by visiting the local fairs or markets. This is a magnificent way of getting to know the locals and learn about their background. What’s more, the fairs always have lots of activities for little ones with attractions, street theatre and other popular traditions that guarantee non-stop fun and laughter. If you’re heading for the Costa del Sol then you’re in luck, as the towns hold events and fairs each week.
