Gaitanes gorge
The centre of the province of Malaga is home to this beautiful land filled with history and stunning sites where to practise trekking, canoeing, abseiling or caving.
Declared Natural Site in 1989, it is a canyon dug out by Guadalhorce River, with rocks of different origin and age which have given shape to coves and chasms decorated with thousands of paintings.

Sierra de las Nieves Natural Park
On the east of Ronda city, known as a paradise of contrasts, we find the Sierra de las Nieves, a labyrinth of coves, galleries and beautiful natural springs, with sea views and different signalled routes perfect for ramblers, cyclers and mountaineers. Its topography, chasms, ravines and pools make it the best site for caving and abseiling.
- Hiking, there are 15 tracks apt for all public and ages.
- Cycling tourism: Interesting tour of low difficulty that goes through Puerto de la Mujer. From 2 to 6 hours of duration, apt for children and adults. ATTENTION! You will not find springs along the track, so do not forget to take some litres of water.
- Trekking: The ascent to Torrecilla is the ideal option for mountaineers. It has a distance of 16 km and an average difficulty, not recommendable to amateurs.
El Torcal
Located in Antequera, it is a unique site declared World Heritage of Humanity by the UNESCO. Known for the whimsical shapes created by erosion, it is one of the most stunning karst landscapes of Europe. It features endless routes and activities. A must visit place.
- Public tracks: They are of free access and are signalled so that anyone can trek along them without need of authorisation.
- Do it with: Friends.
- Our tip: Do not take detours, it is easy to get lost. In addition, the land is stony, irregular and slippery.

Los Cahorros of Chillar River
It is a gorge shaped by water, a gem of nature of stunning beauty located in the bed of Chillar River. It is a perfect place for trekking, having a bath and enjoying nature on sunny days. In addition, it allows mountaineers to discover one of the best routes of the province of Malaga, characterised for its beauty and the large quantity of water that flows through the riverbed, despite the dry autumn of Malaga.

La Concepcion botanical garden
It is a beautiful collection of outdoor tropical and subtropical flora designed by the Marquises of Casa Loring and later extended by Echevarria-Echevarrieta family. Featuring vegetal species from Europe, America, Asia, Africa and Oceania, it was declared artistic historic garden and it is today considered Bien de Interes Cultural (Site of Cultural Interest).
Apart from its more than 1000 species, it stands out for its endless noble buildings, like the stunning House-Palace.
Greenhouses, springs, bridges, stairways, a beautiful view point and Loringiano Museum, which hosts archaeological finds discovered during the excavations.
